The Law Firm of Harter & Pfleger, LLC  ~ Established in 1996

Since its inception, the firm has concentrated its services to bank transactional work and workouts, commercial and residential real estate transactions, business law, land use and planning, title issues, estate planning and related litigation.  Our goal was and continues to be to provide a quality service in a timely manner while at the same time being more cost effective than the average law firm, regardless of size.  We are also always available, with the attorneys answering the telephones.

Banking Clients

We currently represent Two River Community Bank, Brunswick Bank & Trust, The Bank of Princeton and New Jersey Community Bank.  The firm has previously represented Yardville National Bank, Roma Bank and Community Bank of New Jersey prior to mergers with larger institutions. In previous employment, each member represented the former Central Jersey Bank & Trust Company and United Jersey Bank.


Mr. Pfleger has been a member in the law firm of Harter & Pfleger, L.L.C since 1996.  For the past thirty years, Mr. Pfleger has represented lending institutions in the areas of commercial loan reviews and loan documentation, general collection, creditor’s rights from workout through foreclosure, and related bankruptcy and Uniform Commercial Code issues.  He also represents family businesses in all aspects of corporate law, as well as having a significant concentration in all aspects of real estate law, including residential and commercial real estate, litigation of title issues, and land use/development law.

Mr. Pfleger serves as Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment Attorney for Holmdel Township for the past nine years and as Zoning Board of Adjustment Attorney for Holmdel Township for the past two years.

In non-legal matters, Mr. Pfleger has been involved in many community services, including the following:
  *Past Trustee on the Bayshore Community Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees
  *Co-Chairman of the Holmdel Twp Citizen’s Advisory Committee for redevelopment of the Lucent property
  *Served on the Holmdel Township Board of Education (with last two years serving as President)

Mr. Pfleger received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University and his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law.
